In the end we had 3 old plastic containers, feathers, large paper straws, paper, string, tape and glue. We quickly went around the house and grabbed anything that looked like it might work. The egg drop project was used as a quick, 1-week design/build assignment to “knock off the rust” from the holiday break and to get the students thinking creatively about construction.
